I love the library murals. They take me a different world.
I love the colors… and I really like mixing in text. I want to see more of that series
OMGoodness I love your murals. I had no idea. You are so talented. (Notice the period. I know you are crazy talented.)
I love the colors in the esc. painting. All of it is great but you really grabbed me with the fabulous colors- orange, yellow, blue!
As always, I fall head over heels into your wonderful colors. I have to figure out how to buy the painting, Home. I absolutely love it!
I love your work. I love the colors too. I like where you are taking your work the the letters.
Love the ink washes…Remind me of Wayne Thiebault and how he uses contrasting color to define his sweets

Enjoyed your work at the Opening of The Discovery Center in Frisco earlier this month.

really like the pears were you are “looser” they do look more organic and almost human.
I love the pear pictures! I love to eat pears so I think I am drawn to them even more. Love the colors.
You are so talented, and you skills just keep growing, you are amazing!!
Thanks for all your comments so far! More posts coming soon.
Misty,
I had no idea you were so incredibly talented! Taking in your pears today inspired me…..thank you for sharing your gift.
Misty
I’ve seen a lot of local artist in Fannin and Grayson Counties. I must say none of the art I have seen from them compare to what I see in your work. I must say the ink running in the pears, at least for me, makes the peice very interesting. I would like to thank you for putting the blog invitation on facebook or I would have not known of your incredible tallent.
James
I like the blue pears lots and lots.
I love your new work and can’t wait to see more in that series! Gorgeous rich color fields and great compositions. love what you do with the pears!
You are so talented!!!!!
Misty, I loved every piece! The colors are so brigh! I am sooo glad to see local artists in Frisco show casing your work again!! I miss seeing you all & working with wonderful talented artist like you. Can’t wait to see you at the opening! Joyce
Misty I enjoyed your blog. Especially about realizing that what I call “the location of imagination” is in the subconcious mind. You should read a book called “Pycho Cibernetics” by Dr Maxwell malts. I will forever change how you see yourself and the world around you.
I loved reading the stories of your process and inspiration. It helps put into perspective some of my own thoughts, ideas and perceptions.
Crazy makers can be the inspiration for starting a piece, but making the art is the release from the frustration of such discord and discontent. What a gift to be able to turn something unpleasant into something beautiful!
Thanks to Julie Cameron and to you.
Hey Misty! We got your card in the mail, and I had to come check out your stuff. Wow! I love it! What beautiful work. Now I’m hoping I win.
I just ran across a picture of you and your oldest last week - as an infant on your lap. Made me think of you. More serendipity. Tell the family ‘hi’ from all of us!
Misty, It was so fun to get your postcard. I loved reading your comments about how the “art of the picture” comes about in your mind first and then on the paper. You are so talented.
I’ve fallen for the chair myself. Nice use of positive and negative space.
Loved reading about the self-portraits. It was interesting to read that you painted Joie de Vive at a difficult time in your life, as I look at it everyday as I work and find in it only joy.
Thanks, Wanda. I appreciate your comments. I still had (and have) joy, I just had to look a little harder for it at times, especially during those years.
I believe that what doesn’t kill you definitely makes you stronger.
Something I forgot to mention is that art work also deals with finding joy in the simple, everyday things of life, no matter what’s going on around you. (Deep breaths!) –Misty
I’m liking the new stuff!
