Thanks, Wanda. I appreciate your comments. I still had (and have) joy, I just had to look a little harder for it at times, especially during those years. I believe that what doesn’t kill you definitely makes you stronger.

Something I forgot to mention is that art work also deals with finding joy in the simple, everyday things of life, no matter what’s going on around you. (Deep breaths!) –Misty

Loved reading about the self-portraits. It was interesting to read that you painted Joie de Vive at a difficult time in your life, as I look at it everyday as I work and find in it only joy.

I loved reading the stories of your process and inspiration. It helps put into perspective some of my own thoughts, ideas and perceptions.

Crazy makers can be the inspiration for starting a piece, but making the art is the release from the frustration of such discord and discontent. What a gift to be able to turn something unpleasant into something beautiful!

Misty I enjoyed your blog. Especially about realizing that what I call “the location of imagination” is in the subconcious mind. You should read a book called “Pycho Cibernetics” by Dr Maxwell malts. I will forever change how you see yourself and the world around you.
